Is this a swimming party? No. The pool is only for lessons and will generally be in use when parties are in progress
What ages is the space suitable for? The Duck and Play Party room is perfect for crawlers, toddlers and preschoolers, so most suitable for children aged 1-4 years old.
Is there a party host? No. The aim is to provide a safe, weather proof space for supervised play where you can host your party. Our team member WILL be available to facilitate, organise and help tidy up for you.
Can siblings come? Our space caters only for the age group 1-4. Older siblings of the birthday child only may attend and if older than 4, remember that the equipment is not designed for their size or weight and should not be used.
How much does it cost? $550 for the room hire (playroom and separate celebration room hire). Platters & drinks can be arranged for extra. Up to 10 children with up to 20 accompanying adults. Opening offer to Duck and Dive clients (who are enrolled in lessons in term 4 2023): Book before 30/11/2023 for any Saturday morning session up to 31/3/2024 and receive 30% off room hire, only $385!

– Cup cakes for little kids are 100% easier than slicing cake!
– Platters are best shared with the kids. Just serve them first and the adults can eat the rest!

What are the house rules?
Children to be supervised by your guests at all times

What are the cancellation rules? A deposit of $150 secures your booking. The deposit is non refundable for any reason. The balance is payable 28 days prior to the event. If you need to cancel:
outside of 28 days = $150 (loss of deposit)
27 days to 14 days = 50%
13 days to day of party = 100% *
Can we arrive early? No, as the party room won’t be available until your booking time. We advise party hosts arrive 15 mins before and guests 5 mins before.
How do you manage timings of the play room and celebration room? With a timer! The clock starts ticking at the time of your booked slot. We will help you to “people manage” so that your guests can move from room to room easily thereby allowing us time to prepare the space for next arriving booking. Guests may arrive 5 mins before and wait in reception but need to leave on the dot!
Can I bring my own food and beverages? Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own finger food and beverages or order from us in advance.
Are there any facilities to prepare food? No, there are no facilities to prepare any food – all food that is being brought to the facility must be previously prepared and glad wrapped.
What type of beverages can I bring? No alcohol (we are not licensed) and no glass bottles.
What type of food can I bring? As there are no preparation or washing facilities, we suggest keeping it simple. Cold food only.
Can I bring my own birthday cake? Yes! you’re welcome to bring your own birthday cake/cup cakes.
Can I bring my own decorations? Yes, you can. However, it must be free-standing and it must all be removed BEFORE the end of your time slot and quickly. We do require you to let us know in advance.
Are there any stairs? Yes, there are stairs between the party room and celebration room. However, there is also external access.
Is there accessible entry/toilets? Yes but please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements especially as regards wheelchairs.
Is there pram access? Prams are really not required in the building unless a baby is sleeping. But yes, if absolutely necessary to bring in a pram you can wheel it in to the play room and then wheel it outside and around the building to the celebration room.
Where can I park? There is loads of free street parking right outside (we are in an industrial area and everything is closed at the weekend). The Duck and Dive car park is for swim schoolers only. Below is a pic of a typical weekend outside our location!
This is a great space, do you rent it out for anything else? Yes! During the term break we also organise Mothers Groups catchups. Mostly all as above just different timings.
